Why UX/UI?

Why UX/UI?

My professional journey started managing the internal aspects of an automotive industry company. After that, I had the opportunity to work as a sales assistant in the solar energy field; what I liked the most about it was that every action I took directly benefited both the end-users and the organization.

It was a continuous challenge as each client had unique needs, requiring me to dig deeper and build trust to provide them with the perfect solution. While I thrived in this role, I also discovered a growing desire for a more creative outlet in my career.

In the meantime, I discovered UX/UI design and I felt amazed by the fact that I could connect with people, nurture my logical and creative sides, and contribute to something with a positive impact, both within the users and the company.

That's how I decided to do 2 Master's in UX/UI Design, followed by an internship in a design studio to go through my transition into this field. It has felt like the missing piece of the puzzle, every single thing I learn in my day-to-day about UX/UI makes me feel charmed.

Meeting different cultures

Meeting different cultures

Since I was young I've been curious about learning about other cultures through music, food, and movies. That's why, when I was at University, I strived to have the opportunity to do academic exchanges in Chile and then in France.

Thanks to these experiences, I encouraged myself to explore Europe as a solo traveler for 7 months so I could open my mind to new perspectives and knowledge along the way.

By doing that, I realized how nurturing it is to meet people from different cultures, connect with them, and learn from them. It still impresses me the fact that there's always something that connects you to anyone even with different habits, interests and traditions.

In my career, I have been fortunate to keep connecting with all kinds of people and to go deeper into what they need and how can I contribute to helping them,

I'm always up for learning something new and pushing my limits, by keeping in the journey of discovery and growth.
